Hope Springs Eternal
The rippling form the falling leaf creates combines with the molten flow of the upwelling.
Focus shifts now from the depths to the surface as consciousness realizes place.
Following the gentle flow, the leaf moves now through the densely canopied forest.
Spiraling slowly with an oscillating list, a leaf begins a new trajectory.
Ever more entertaining than a stable position on the forest floor, this small voyage provides.
The space underneath shifts with the space above, and animals and plants accompany both.
Their home above or below, as the small leafy vessel glides on the interstitial.
The daydream is broken and I return to the present. I step into the canoe and begin.
Fleeting Touch
A warm rush sends hair on end and at attention. The warming rush extends into the spine, bounces off of the interior and returns outward, emanating throughout as an expanding energy. Slightly short of breath, inhaling with a hint of nervousness.
The moment passes, leaving behind a slow dissolving wake. An idea lingers, as does a faint dream upon wakening.

Nudge, Nudge...
Three nudges.
A thoughtless nudge as the two pass.
One turns, and wonders.
The flow decreases as they grow nearer.
Gently now, as they converge.
In the blurry night things seems farther.
All at once they not.
